"The tour starts in the health resort Kurort Rathen which you will reach
after a 40-minute ride. Please cross the river Elbe by ferry and follow
the signage leading you to the Bastei. The hiking trail is marked with a
sign which depicts a thick blue line on a white background. You will
reach Bastei Bridge and the Bastei rocks after about 45 minutes. There
you will be rewarded with fantastic views of the Elbe valley.
Right next to Bastei Bridge, there is the rock castle of Neurathen that consists of the remnants of a medieval high altitude castle. If you walk through the castle complex, which predominantly is a construction of several iron bridges and iron ladders, you will be able to enjoy impressive views of the rock formations of Saxon Switzerland."
